My professional life has been quite adventurous and thanks to the various diversions towards self-discovery. I spent 7-yrs in corporate banking in Maryland, straight out of college in 1997. I worked my way up to Assistant Vice President. Got married in 2002 and in 2004 after having my first child, I weighed the options between my son and my job. My salary would’ve been sufficient enough for daycare and not much more. I left my career and independence behind by taking the choice closest to my heart. I chose to give that time to my son.
In 2006, I joined passion and dreams with a couple, two very good friends that I love and respect a lot, to start a recruiting agency in Uganda. 10 years later, our combined perseverance, passion, and zeal to succeed, grew the business into the largest in 6 countries within the East African region. We employed close to 40 full-time staff and at one point outsourced close to 1000 employees in the telecommunications sector.
In 2016, after having lived some of the best years in my professional life, I chose to part ways. In those 10 years and serving as Director of Human Resource Process Outsourcing, we enriched so many lives within the recruiting sector, impacted so many businesses, and made our service mark within the region. I was fulfilled. I had served my purpose. I, therefore, chose to leave to rediscover my passion.
When I look back perhaps burnout was lurking within, although at that time I couldn't tell why I wasn't feeling challenged or why the passion had run out. We all got into entrepreneurship to find freedom and to make money, right? But 10 years down the road that intuitive, passionate, driven and ambitious woman that I was had shrunk to feelings of stress, confusion and sometimes drudgery at work. This is when I knew my passion was running low.
Now in this business I always found fulfillment in helping people find their desired career direction. It's therefore quite interesting that I found myself needing these same direction in 2016. As I sat home taking care of my now four children, I lounged in confusion over what the next phase in my life would be. One thing I believed for sure was that I wasn't cut out to be a stay-at-home mom forever! It took me a good two years to rediscover my passion. Why that long you might ask? Well, I did not have the guidance I could've gotten from a life coach.
And once I found my passion I decided to go all-in. I have invested tremendously in coach certification programs so I can provide the best possible service to y clients. In September 2020 I completed certification at the prestigious Life Coach School. Prior to that, I certified as a Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mental and Emotional Release (MER) at Healing With Hind. The skills I have obtained and the notable coaching hours I have engaged since 2018, allow me to have a breadth of techniques and expertise in helping my clients take action in the desired direction on life.
I like results. I am not a quitter. When I am clear on what I want I go get it. But I also love my clients. I know that they know what's best for them. I just help bring that out where they might not believe in themselves.
If you would like to work with me, trust me, you have to put in the work. The process may be difficult sometimes, but I can guarantee, you will love the results. Life is meant to be lived with purpose, fulfillment and joy. You are worth it! Level-up with me as you explore unimaginable possibilities.
