MINDFULNESS

Finally. A Science-Based Mindfulness Training That Will Change Your Life In 8 Sessions!!

What's The Fuss All About?!

In today's hustle culture our lives are pulled in several directions. We have so much responsibility and yet time seems to always be against us. In practicing mindfulness, we learn how to create a balance between our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surroundings. Practicing mindfulness reduces stress, emotional reactivity, anxiety, worry and enhances the positive emotions we need to feel, in order to take action towards what we wish to achieve.

So, if practicing mindfulness holds such powerful potential for our wellbeing, why aren't we all doing it every day?

The reason is that we often need more guidance and support than simply downloading an app. We need to better understand the underlying processes so it can be easier for us to practice.

This program is designed to walk you through everything you need to fully understand mindfulness and experience the profound effects it can have on your life.

EIGHT IMPACT SESSIONS

Session 1

Attention and Now

The cultivation of attention to the present moment is the heart of mindfulness. The most common reason why people fail to pay attention to the present moment is because they are occupied by thinking, often about the past or the future. In this session, we introduce the role of thoughts and their relationship with the present moment.

Session 2

Automatic Thought Patterns

The goal of this session is to clarify the relationship between mindfulness and our automatic thought patterns. This session is included at the beginning of the training because most problems that people experience involve automatic patterns or habits. Becoming aware of our automatic thought patterns helps us cultivate more useful thoughts so we can cultivate those positive emotions that bring more action and aliveness in our daily lives.

Session 3

Judgement

Judgment is something we take lightly because we think it is what we need to do to ourselves and others in order to fix problems. In this session, the impact of judgement on our daily experiences, how judgement limits our reality and creates conflict. And finally what we can do to stop the inner critic.

Session 4

Acceptance

Acceptance is not saying "It will not make a difference if I do." In this session, you learn what acceptance really means and the benefits of acknowledging, and taking action with acceptance. You will learn how easy it is to resist acceptance and the misconceptions about acceptance. You'll also learn to apply this concept to difficult challenges.

Session 5

Goals

Goals are very important to our lives because they drive our purpose. But the intense focus on the goal and the frustration that comes with achieving it can actually lead to failure. In this session, I teach you how to enjoy the process of achieving your goal so that you focus on what's important at any given moment.

Session 6

Compassion

Compassion involves sensitivity to the experience of suffering, coupled with a deep desire to alleviate that suffering.
In this session, you will become acquainted with your inner critic and by increasing your awareness of the inner critic and practicing self-compassion through meditation and self-caring action, you will learn to effectively cultivate a friendly and caring relationship with the self.

Session 7

The Ego

We often describe who we are from our experiences, accolades, unfortunate circumstances, accomplishments or the lack there off, family, culture etc. But knowing who we truly are from within is the essence of being mindful. In this session, you learn how to differentiate the story you tell about yourself and instead observe the story you are creating.

Session 8

Integration

Whereas we integrate everything we learn on a daily basis through practical exercises, in this session you are invited to create a  personal plan for sustainability after completing the course.

Why This Program?

Mindfulness is different from any other mindfulness program you know. Little attention is often devoted to the science and empirical evidence that forms the foundations of effective mindfulness training.

While others focus on practices alone, this program addresses the underlying psychological mechanisms of mindfulness allowing you to side-step the pitfalls that may result from unguided mindfulness practices.

A lot of research has been put into this program so you can easily integrate it into your life.  It is nothing like any other mindfulness program out there. As your practitioner, I have utilized the same tools that I am teaching you so you can experience the joy of reducing stress in your life.

Mindfulness has been developed with the knowledge that the effects of mindfulness are strongly determined both by the quality of the instruction given and a joint understanding of what can be realistically achieved through mindfulness practices.

How long does this program take to complete.

This is an (8) session program starting on August 4th. I'll be taking various groups so session start dates vary per group.

What is the format of Mindfulness?

The workshops can be delivered either in person or online. The online groups will not exceed 10 people. The in-person groups will not exceed 25 people. This will give participants enough individual attention during the sessions.

The training requires about 15-30 minutes a day and is most effective when done at home. Different types of exercises include formal meditation and more informal daily practices.

I have tried mindfulness before and I am not very good at it. How do I know that this program will be different?

At its core, mindfulness is about starting over again and again. Even if you feel like you're not making 'progress', if you have patience and try to practice regularly to the best of your ability, your efforts will pay off.

In this program, we'll approach mindfulness in a way that addresses all common stumbling blocks, and you'll be free to share your specific concerns so we can troubleshoot them together.
